Covid-19 Policy

I will run my classes Covid Secure as advised from CIMSPA. It is important to follow the rules to keep safe.

It is at your own risk to attend classes. Guidance on those who are at higher risk can be found at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/people-at-higher-risk/whos-at-higher-risk-from-coronavirus/

I would advise anyone who are in the High Risk Group NOT to attend classes. If you are in the Moderate Risk Group to seek advise from their GP and in addition consult with their family before deciding.

If you have any of the following symptoms, please do NOT attend class:

  • A new continuous cough

  • A high temperature

  • A loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia)

Do not attend if you have been informed to Isolate by NHS Test & Trace or have returned from a location whereby you are required to isolate. Any participant who may become symptomatic whilst at the class should leave the venue immediately without touching anything and without coming into close contact with anyone. All guidance relevant to Covid-19 can be found at https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Covid-19 Protocol for Pilates Classes

Your wellbeing is my priority and now due to Covid-19 we have new guidelines to provide a safe space to enjoy Pilates. Thank you for your support on this.

Before your Class:

  • If you have any reason to suspect you have been at risk of contracting Covid-19 or have been told to isolate then do not attend Pilates.

  • If you have any changes to your health or well being that needs to be conveyed to your Pilates Teacher, please inform them via email prior to class as social distancing of 2 meters may mean it isn’t possible to talk privately within a class environment.

At the Venue:

  • Sanitize your hands before entering the venue and before you depart.

  • Arrive wearing Pilates appropriate clothing and a minimum of personal belongings.

  • Pilates socks are to be worn during class.

  • Shoes to be removed and left at the side.

  • Clients must bring their own mat and small equipment. I can advise on this and order these for you. Some clients may need to bring a small towel or cushion for additional support.

  • Bring your own water bottle, no water will be provided.

  • Class times have been shortened to allow time for better air circulation and ventilation. When classes are running consecutively then a minimum of 10 mins is required between classes. Please respect this for all participants. â€‹

  • There will be no tactile cueing and the Instructor will maintain social distancing.

  • At the end of the class please put avoiding congesting the main doorways and hallways.
